What’s New?

Memorial Day weekend has been a traditional garden planting date, but it’s been a long winter!  Many of us have started planting.  Wandering through the garden, one can see radishes and peas, as well as lettuce and spinach, well on their way.  A few brave souls have planted peppers and tomatoes. Garlic, planted last Fall, has come up, as have chives and rhubarb. Sunflower seeds, scattered by the birds last year, have popped up as “volunteers” in many gardens. The lilacs and apple tree are in bloom and the bees are in heaven.
